December 21, 2023.
Dear Friends of Neve Hanna,
For us, everyday life resumed in the shadow of war. Until recently, there were restrictions orders issued by the Home Front Command, but all of them have now been lifted. However, we continue to exercise caution by paying particular attention.
But the return to daily routine without restrictions basically means:
• All children go to school regularly again.
• All children who attend the daycare centers are with us again in the afternoons.
• We have again started special activities, such as meetings between Jewish and Arab youth from Neve Hanna and Rahat.
However, there are some changes here and there. As usual, over Chanukah, we had children who were unable to visit their families for the holiday week. These children then generally go to our holiday home in Rosh Pina. However, since this was not possible due to safety reasons, there were special activities at Neve Hanna, including an off-road vehicle tour in our area.
That a major turning point in all of our lives occurred two and a half months ago, we keep on noticing in many ways, among that: Sometimes memories come back or situations arise that cause fear and uncertainty, so we will stick to our increased therapy program very intensively.
We are also happy that we were able to welcome guests from the USA again: the Rabbinical Assembly on a Solidarity Mission from the Masorti Movement came to visit. The RA spent an incredible day with Rabba Liron Levy, the staff and children and touring the children’s campus. Those were very special moments.
Sincerely for today,
