On Sunday, January 21, 2024, the Forest Hills Jewish Center Sisterhood and the FHJC School Board gathered together for an afternoon of Baking Challah with Amy Bochner Newman. It was a multi-generational event with 60 attendees (more, including babies!)
Guided by Amy’s expert instruction they made the dough, learned how to braid the loaves, and went home with a challah ready to pop in their oven. There were raffles, door prizes and snacks. $5.00 of the admission went to support American Friends of Neve Hanna. The Sisterhood of Forest Hills Jewish Center was proud to support the important work of Neve Hanna.
Forest Hills Jewish Center and American Friends of Neve Hanna are looking forward to an upcoming program in May 2024 introducing more of FHJC members to Neve Hanna.
