Dear Friends of Neve Hanna,
Following the usual intensive preparations, Neve Hanna celebrated the annual Purim party. At first glance, everything seemed like every year, but the celebration, like our everyday lives, was marked by the shadow of war. Otherwise, it’s not just the volunteers from the current year who are participating, but also many ex-volunteers who visit Israel at this time of the year. That is not the case this year, although at least one former volunteer who is in the country for a semester of study came along. That was great! In addition, we were only able to welcome a few former Israeli volunteers; since many of them serve our country currently in the army.
It was decided weeks ago, that this year the focus of the celebration would be states that expressed solidarity with Israel on October 7th and afterwards. Special attention as on Germany, the USA and Japan. The restaurant was German-Israeli, the “room of horror” was set in Halloween style and the Coffee House took us to Japan.
It was a great time of preparation for the children. They clearly enjoyed the celebration very much.
Purim Sameach (as much as it can be under the circumstances) and Shabbat Shalom!
