Happy Hanukkah from Neve Hanna!

Dear Friends,

As we sat down to write our Hanukkah Greetings, Israel is still at war, but we found ourselves reflecting on an enduring promise we made as AFNH Co-Presidents to ensure the future of each of our children who reside at Neve Hanna.

This has been a period of challenge and uncertainty for our Kehillah, yet time and again, we have had to draw on our collective strength, resilience, and hope to move forward with purpose.

Our Hanukkah project this year will focus on each child’s personal journey to a bright and successful future. The psychologists and social workers engage each child in individual sessions. AFNH sponsors exciting after-school activities that each child can choose.

Rabba Liron Levy Rosensaft is teaching the children and staff about Hanukkah, the Maccabees’ resilience, and the events happening in Israel today, and how it relates to the children and their future.

One of our favorite programs is the Neve Hanna Youth Council, which discusses activities they would like to see implemented and brings them to a vote. The whole Kehillah voted to continue engaging the Hip Hop program.

The children and the staff are most appreciative of all we do, providing the ongoing therapies, venues for teaching activities, and projects that feed every child’s self-worth and need for creativity, freedom, and fun.

We hope that you will be inspired to send a contribution in recognition of our shared dedication to each of our children as they engage in their personal journey to a brighter, successful future. Please accept our sincere thanks.

Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, is a time for family and friends, a time for redemption and rededication. As we prepare to rejoice with our loved ones and light our Hanukiyot, there is no more appropriate time to reaffirm and strengthen our commitment to our family in Israel, the children at Neve Hanna.

We wish you and your family joy, blessings, and hope for peace.

Happy Hanukkah! May your Hanukiyot shine brightly and proudly!

Fondly with Shalom,
Janet and Irwin Tobin
