Lisa Pollack
Executive Director

Lisa Pollack was born April 28, 1968 in Flushing, New York and raised in
Bayside, Queens. She attended Benjamin N. Cardozo High School. She
studied Liberal Arts & Sciences at Queensborough Community College and
went onto Queens College where she majored in Marketing Communications.


Lisa has 30+ years of experience in business which includes publicity, copy
editing, administrative, customer service, management, sales, print and media services, publications, marketing, communications, public speaking and volunteerism.


In 2013, she made the transition and journey from corporate over to nonprofit and found her “voice” in the Jewish Conservative Movement. Lisa has been an active member at Congregation L’Dor V’Dor and its Sisterhood where she serves as Adult Education Chair, Israel Affairs Chair and Torah Fund Benefactor. She worked at the synagogue for 5 years as their publicity consultant and copy editor on the Temple Talk newsletter. As Israel Affairs, Lisa attended Israel Advocacy conferences, rallies and marches in support of Israel.

In 2016, Lisa began her life’s mission and found her true calling as Director of Business Development at American Friends of Neve Hanna, the children’s nonprofit organization associated with the Neve Hanna Children’s Home for at-risk youth in Israel.

Neve Hanna Children’s Home is a loving home for children from distressed family circumstances in the south of Israel. They are the children of Russian, Ethiopian, Middle Eastern immigrants and native-born Israelis. By providing a nurturing and supportive family environment, Neve Hanna offers these at-risk youth the chance to grow beyond the circumstances from which they emerged. With its therapeutic programs, leisure time activities and projects, Neve Hanna Children’s Home strives to meet all the physical, emotional, mental and educational needs of its children.

In 2018, Lisa’s lifetime dream of touring Israel came to light including spending a summer with the children, staff and volunteers at Neve Hanna Children’s Home. She learned about daily life for the children and staff at Neve Hanna and got hands-on experience working at the Petting Zoo and Yeladudes Bakery.

Later in 2018, Lisa began working at the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC). Over the years, her leadership roles at both AFNH and FJMC have grown. Lisa now serves as Executive Director at American Friends of Neve Hanna.

She has strong relationships within the Jewish Community including Masorti, AEPi, StandWithUs, MERCAZ-USA, WLCJ and FJMC. Lisa attended her first Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs (FJMC) Convention in June 2023 and Women’s League Convention (WLCJ) in July 2023.

In her spare time, Lisa loves to read books, listen to music and watch movies. Lisa is a photographer and most of her craft is concentrated on music, architecture and advocacy photography.
