An Evening with Chef Michael Solomonov

On March 9, 2016, American Friends of Neve Hanna held a special benefit “Cooking from the Heart:  The Power to Change Lives” with Chef Michael Solomonov.  We gathered together in celebration of 40 years of service to the children of Neve Hanna and the publication of Solomonov’s new cookbook, Zahav: A World of Israeli Cooking.

Co-President Janet Tobin interviewed Chef Solomonov, during which he shared both his signature recipe and the personal culinary journey that led him back to Israel and his meeting with the children at Neve Hanna.

Solomonov and his family visited the Neve Hanna campus in June of 2015 and were particularly impressed by the inspiring, resilient young people who overcome serious challenges to succeed and thrive.
