Dance Movement Therapy

Dance-movement therapy, (DMT) or dance therapy is the use of movement and dance for emotional, cognitive, social, behavioral and physical conditions. As a form of expressive therapy, DMT assumes that movement and emotion are directly related.  It is a healing approach that involves the use of dance and body movement to improve physical, emotional, and mental well-being. In addition, dance therapy is said to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, and enhance mobility and muscle coordination.
