At Neve Hanna, we believe every child deserves the opportunity not only to receive hope—but to give hope.
That belief comes to life through Streetlight, one of Neve Hanna’s most inspiring leadership programs, guided by the motto:“The best thing in the world is to do good deeds for others.”
Streetlight transforms children who once relied on the kindness of others into young people who are making a meaningful difference in their own community. Together, they learn leadership, compassion, respect, and social responsibility while raising funds, organizing donations, approaching local businesses, purchasing groceries, and preparing food packages for families in need throughout Kiryat Gat.
As Neve Hanna’s Itzik Bohadana explains:
“We believe in giving as a way of life. We reshape our children from being the beneficiaries to being donors and contributors to their community.“
The teens quietly deliver each food package anonymously, preserving the dignity of every recipient. Some of the families they support are Holocaust survivors, and the teens spend time visiting, listening, talking, and helping them — demonstrating that compassion is about far more than meeting physical needs.
